JVLY Unveils Hypnotic New Single ‘Walked The Sun’ Ahead of Upcoming EP

Australian alt-R&B artist JVLY continues his impressive run of releases with his latest single, Walked The Sun, offering fans another glimpse into his forthcoming SUNDER EP. Following the success of SOUTH, LOCUM, and DROWNING IN MY ROOM, JVLY cements his status as one of Australia’s most intriguing emerging artists with this dreamy, atmospheric new track.

Walked The Sun captures the essence of introspection and transformation, mirroring the EP’s overarching theme of breaking free from cycles. With lush production, ethereal vocals, and warm, nostalgic soundscapes, the track evokes the feeling of watching the sun dip below the horizon—an epiphany wrapped in melody. JVLY describes it as a realisation that sometimes, things don’t need to be forced; they simply fall into place.

“WALKED THE SUN is the final puzzle piece of SUNDER. I knew how I wanted this song to feel in relation to the whole project, but it took me a long time to find my way there. One of the things this EP looks at is the idea of being stuck in a loop, and I think this song speaks to the realization that the loop is not there anymore. And it’s not to say these loops are a bad thing either—maybe you even need them to see sometimes. ‘A honey sky paved the way, oh now I see, some pictures don’t need more paint’ is basically acknowledging that epiphany kind of moment that can come with a bit of perspective. And really, I just wanted it to sound like sunset.”JVLY.

With SUNDER on the horizon, anticipation is building for what promises to be a deeply immersive body of work exploring self-discovery, fleeting moments, and personal growth. Walked The Sun sets the tone beautifully, offering a hypnotic preview of the sonic journey ahead.

Walked The Sun is available now, everywhere.
