Kiiara Proves She’s Still Golden With New Music Video
Electro-pop princess Kiiara has unleashed a brand new self-directed music video for her smash-hit single Gold, and it’s just as confusingly addictive as the song.
The video opens to Kiiara sitting like a queen on her black throne-like chair, surrounded by loyal subjects. The rest becomes a hallucinogenic blur, following the singer around the club, into the bathroom, and out into a dark alley where she slaps one of her subjects across the face.
The Gold music video could be a message about psychosis and alcohol-fuelled violence, or just a depiction of an average Friday night in the city. Either way, from beginning to end, it’s almost impossible to look away.
Gold has been Shazam’d over 750,000 times (partly the chorus is made up of indecipherable sample sounds, but mostly because it’s just that catchy). After a stint at number one on the Aussie Shazam Chart shortly after release, it now sits at number five.
If her first single is anything to go by, there’s a lot more to come from this golden girl. Kiiara’s debut album ‘Low Kii Savage’ is out now!
