Kllo Drop New Video For Single, EP To Follow
Melbourne electronic duo Kllo have revealed the music video from their single Walls to Build. The act’s upcoming EP ‘Well Worn’ is due for release on August 5, and it’s looking to be a cracker!
The new clip features an array of weird and wonderful videos overlaying each other. Old-school style footage gives the video a vaguely vaporwave feel that matches the UK garage feeling of the piece. Walls to Build is the third Kllo video directed by Hamish Mitchell who has also worked with the likes of Sunbeam Sound Machine.
Filmed partly on what could be mistaken for the average 90s camcorder, the video mixes short shots of blurred low resolution objects with beautiful shorts of paint mixing which flows just like the song itself.
Kllo say the inspiration for the video was varied: “‘Walls to Build’ brings influence from a lot of different places and we wanted the varying fidelities in the video to reflect how the ideas came together,” the duo says.
Kllo will be on a national tour of Australia this August and are playing at Splendour In The Grass this coming Friday.
