KT Tunstall Releases New Single ‘Cancerian’ Ahead of 20th Anniversary ‘Eye To The Telescope: The Stargazer Edition’

Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter KT Tunstall has unveiled her brand-new single ‘Cancerian’. The track is the second of three unreleased songs set to appear on the highly anticipated 20th anniversary reissue of her landmark debut album, Eye To The Telescope: The Stargazer Edition, arriving October 31, 2025.

Co-written with Tommy D (Beyoncé, Adele, Sophie Ellis-Bextor) and produced by Grammy nominee Robert Adam Stevenson, ‘Cancerian’ blends bluesy guitar riffs, stomping rhythms and Tunstall’s signature folk-rock flair, with a bold, witty lyrical nod to the traits of her zodiac sign. The song is accompanied by a vibrant animated video from artist Amy Lucas, who transforms the track into a star sign boxing match filled with cameos and cosmic chaos.

After deciding on my first album title, it got me thinking about horoscopes and how we have always looked to the stars for guidance. The Zodiac signs are often weirdly bang on at describing us, but one of my major pet hates in life is anyone telling me what to do, or telling me they know what is (or isn’t) going to happen in life – I definitely wouldn’t be where I am now if I ever listened to other people’s predictions.” KT Tunstall.

The Stargazer Edition will feature ‘Cancerian’, ‘Anything At All’ and a newly completed version of ‘Eye To The Telescope’, alongside rare B-sides, live recordings and acoustic renditions. The release celebrates the enduring legacy of Tunstall’s 2004 debut, which spawned global hits ‘Black Horse and the Cherry Tree’ and ‘Suddenly I See’, cementing her as one of the most distinctive voices in British music.
