Låpsley Delivers Mesmerising Cover Of Foals For Like A Version

Beautiful British songstress Låpsley graced the triple j studio with an awesome rendition of Mountain At My Gates by Foals. The young beauty released her debut album ‘Long Way Home’ earlier this year and since then has gained some serious international recognition for her voice and songwriting.

Being a fan of Foals herself, Låpsley captured the alternative vibes of the song perfectly but softened it up a little by slowing the pace down and adding some beautiful shimmering synthesisers.

The gentle keyboard arrangements complimented her falsetto vocals perfectly, emphasising the amazing control she holds over her voice. Låpsley made it super easy for you to drift off on a cloud as the lightness of the instrumentation made sure to take no focus away from her airy vocals.

Towards the end of the original Mountain At My Gates, Foals switch into more of a thrash-rock sound. This is where Låpsley differentiates with her cover as she keeps an airy light synth sound throughout the whole cover making it a beautifully, unique version.

It’s really lovely cover, one that highlighted a stunning combination of vocals and instruments but still kept the original song recognisable, nice one girl!
