Lashes Drops Moody New Single ‘Avalanche For You’
Melbourne electro-pop talent Lashes is back with her latest single, Avalanche For You, a dark and moody track that hit the airwaves today. Following her February release Hollow, Lashes continues to build momentum in 2024, delivering an addictive hyperpop-infused soundscape.
Collaborating once again with producer Michael Belsar (known for his work with Hayden James and Bob Moses), Lashes originally penned Avalanche For You in 2022 under the name Final Fantasy. The song’s concept has since evolved, shifting from a sci-fi-inspired storyline to a more personal exploration of toxic cycles and emotional turmoil. The track evokes the anxiety of being trapped in unhealthy relationships, with its production capturing that tense, fight-or-flight energy.

Produced and mixed by Belsar and mastered by Cam Trewin (Rüfüs Du Sol), Avalanche For You showcases Lashes’ signature cinematic sound, enhanced by additional vocal production from Jackson McRae (Holy Holy, George Alice).
