Last Dinosaurs Drop Video For Latest Single ‘Wurl’
Brisbane Guitar-pop leaders Last Dinosaurs have released the music video for their latest single Wurl off sophomore album ‘Wellness’.
Directed and produced by Bond University Film and TV student Harry Deadman, the Wurl video centres on the idea of spinning: bicycle pedals turning, pedestial fan, tennis ball, and a world globe ’round’ off the video.
Deadman said the Wurl video also focuses on “recreating old social and science experiments” and “stimulation overload, whereby a lot of information is given in a short space of time”.
Last Dinosaurs singer and guitarist Sean Caskey said Wurl was written while they were taking a break and writing music in a remote Japanese town.
The song “was written when we were taking a break to write music in a remote Japanese town. The song is about coming to terms with losing someone close to you because at the time a family member was dying. So this is kind of a dedication to them,” Caskey said.
Last Dinosaurs have a track record for creating great music videos with the Apollo clip nominated for Best Video at the 2016 Queensland Music Awards.
