Perth/Boorloo alt-rock outfit Late 90’s released their powerful new single ‘Low’ just a week before hitting the stages at BIGSOUND 2025, and the timing couldn’t have been more perfect. The track became a standout moment of their showcases, drawing praise for its visceral emotion and gritty alt-rock energy.

“‘Low’ is about that internal monologue of self love and self loathing – knowing you’re heading off course and wanting to be better but you just don’t know how, and then beating yourself up for it,” the band explains.

Recorded at Emerald Room Studios with frontman Stephen Loreck stepping into the producer’s chair for the first time, the track embodies the band’s DIY spirit. With mixing by Emmett Carroll and mastering by Brodie Stewart, ‘Low’ captures both raw vulnerability and polished alt-rock intensity.
