Late June Releases New Album tumblrcore
Aotearoa producer Late June has unveiled his highly anticipated new album tumblrcore. The record marks a career milestone for the indie artist, following a string of standout singles including melbourne, we’ve been here, i don’t want to do this anymore, aura, meeting porter at a sando cafe, and i’d say anything to comfort you.
Blending ambient textures with electronic and downtempo elements, tumblrcore sees Late June (the moniker of Sonny Bevin) reflect on his formative creative years spent on Tumblr, where internet subcultures of 2010–2014 shaped his sonic world.

“With everything going on genre wise in the music world, I wanted to dive into what I loved about 2010-2014 music on the internet and write an album that reflects my early creative years on tumblr. Whilst composing songs that speak on memories that I feel like would be worthy of a black and white film edit with text” – Late June.
The album’s focus track, can’t get a, has already gained traction in Late June’s live sets. Inspired by artists like Dom Dolla, John Summit, and 33below, the high-energy tech-club anthem has quickly become a fan favourite for its infectious beat and late-night appeal.
With over a decade of music under his belt, global streaming support, and live performances alongside acts like BAYNK, Pendulum, and MEDUZA, Late June cements his place as one of New Zealand’s most exciting electronic artists with the release of tumblrcore.
