LATOUR and Lowdown Team Up For The Dance Floor Heater, ‘Detach’

Gold Coast producer/DJ LATOUR has teamed up with fellow GC producer, Lowdown for the dance floor anthem, Detach. The combined efforts of the established producers have lead to one of the biggest dance records of the year.

Detach is your perfect late-night track, with thumping kicks, bouncing basslines and floating melodies, it has all the elements to be a dance floor classic for years to come. Having performed together multiple times at the iconic elsewhere nightclub on the Gold Coast, it was a chance sighting on socials that brought the two together for the collab, and before they knew it, the track was put in front of Gorgon City, who were much obliged to release on their label, Realm Records.

“Lowdown posted a preview to his Instagram story and I hit him back saying “this is fire”, he then asked if I’d be keen to jump on it and finish it off as a collab. Which of course I was loving that idea. I could already tell from what he had where I wanted to take the song. Luckily the vision and idea came out very fast and easy, I finished most of the writing ideas in my living room on the couch with headphones only. I think this is the first couch record I’ve ever written, it just came out and with more further back and forth to polish it up Detatch was born!
