Legion Music Fest Confirmed for 2017

We can all heave a sigh of relief, because Legion Music Festival has been confirmed for 2017! Festival organisers have thanked fans after confirming that it was the funding generated through the Pozible campaign that made the festival…well possible.

After running the campaign since early January this year, organisers say it’ll be brought to a close as pledges will no longer be accepted. Organisers have said that anyone that has pledged their support as a part of the Pozible campaign will be heavily rewarded as founding members.

Depending on the amount donated, some supporters were chosen and rewarded, with prizes ranging from free entry to receiving early bird tickets for ten people.

After the bankruptcy of doomed heavy music festival Soundwave late last year, Legion had been dubbed its replacement – much to the joy of Aussie headbangers, as the loss of Soundwave left a gaping hole in the heavy music calendar.

31 bands in total are set to play over three stages at each leg of the heavy music Festival. However, headliners and additional acts are due to be announced shortly as well as ticket prices and sale dates.

Legion Festival founder John Sankey says the original ethics of the festival will remain.

“Myself, Mark Spillane, and Kristie Lawrence are committed to ensuring that we stick to our promise of creating something truly special and unique for the fans,” Sankey said.
