Lemonade Baby Teams Up with Of Lion for New Single ‘Talk’, Ahead of Debut Album Release

Australian DJ and producer Lemonade Baby continues to build excitement for his debut album, Stars Stars Stars, with the release of his latest single, Talk. The track, a collaboration with singer-songwriter Of Lion (Isobel De Leon), showcases a raw and emotional depth that offers fans a final taste of what to expect from the album, which is set to drop in February.

The partnership between the two artists sparked unexpectedly when they met at a record store following a show in Nambour. Their creative chemistry was immediate, leading to a writing session filled with musical inspiration. Drawing from influences like Evanescence’s Bring Me To Life and The Sundays’ Here’s Where the Story Ends, the duo blended their talents to craft Talk. Of Lion’s haunting piano melody on a Casio keyboard sets the tone, while her emotive lyrics explore feelings of frustration and rejection, creating a poignant and relatable narrative.

“Izzy and I met in Nambour at a show she was playing in a record store. We shortly organized a writing session before I left for Japan, we hit it off trading references like Evanescence – Bring Me To Life and The Sundays – Here’s Where The Story Ends. After talking for a few hours, we busted out my Casio keyboard I had, and Izzy played the opening piano melody. Lyrics came very quickly; Izzy wrote some lines on her phone and had an idea of how she wanted to sing it intuitively.” – Lemonade Baby.

For Lemonade Baby, this single represents another bold step in his artistic journey, following a string of successful releases including Seeing Double and Airbnb. With Talk, he continues to solidify his position as one of Australia’s most exciting emerging talents, leaving fans eager for Stars Stars Stars to shine in full.
