Lime Cordiale Show Us A New Kind Of Love In “Waking Up Easy” Clip
Sydney indie outfit Lime Cordiale have dropped a sun-drenched music video for their latest single Waking Up Easy, marking their first release of 2016!
Waking Up Easy is a little acoustic number filled with enough reverb and sparkly production to bring on those summertime vibes. Perfectly paired with some seriously chilled out and mellow vibes, the song is captures the feeling of waking up after a big night.
The music video is filled to the brim with 80s style teen-movie montages, mirroring a modern coming of age story featuring two female leads. The clip goes against the typical male and female love story cliché, bringing to mind very timely themes of the Australian government’s same-sex marriage plebiscite.
With the government and a startling amount of the country currently divided over the same-sex marriage plebiscite, the video serves as a subtle reminder that love is love and it doesn’t discriminate.
