Linkin Park Announce 2026 Australian Tour with New Singer Emily Armstrong: What Fans Can Expect
For many fans, Linkin Park isn’t just another band — they were the soundtrack to a new generation of kids, grunge had died, nu metal had arrived. I still remember the first time I pressed play on Hybrid Theory; it was wall-to-wall fire with no skips. Those songs became anthems, and Chester Bennington’s voice carried a rawness that connected with millions of us around the world.
Now, Linkin Park are preparing to return to Australia with their much-anticipated tour, bringing with them a fresh chapter in their story. Fans can expect a setlist that celebrates their legacy, with hits like In the End, Numb, Breaking the Habit and Crawling almost guaranteed to feature alongside tracks from Meteora, Minutes to Midnight and beyond. With the band’s new era in full swing, there will no doubt also be space for their latest material, showcasing where they’re heading musically in 2025 and beyond.

Of course, one of the biggest talking points has been the choice of their new lead singer Emily Armstrong. While the band is moving forward, for many long-time fans the decision feels complicated. Chester wasn’t just a frontman; he embodied so much of what Linkin Park stood for — vulnerability, strength, and authenticity. With their new vocalist’s past raising questions for some, you can’t help but wonder: could they have perhaps launched a new project altogether? Something in the Linkin Park universe, playing a few classics live, but respectfully closing the chapter that was Linkin Park?
Regardless, there’s no denying the excitement building around this tour. The band remains one of the most powerful live acts of their generation, and hearing those songs echo across stadiums once again will be bittersweet.
The shows are set for:
- March 3, 2026 — Brisbane Entertainment Centre, Brisbane, QLD
- March 8, 2026 — Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne, VIC
- March 14, 2026 — Qudos Bank Arena, Sydney, NSW
It’s sure to be a great show — but also, unavoidably, a little sad without Chester.
