Live Nation’s acclaimed developing artist series Ones To Watch is heading to the lush coastal hub of Byron Bay. Taking over The Backroom at The Northern on Thursday 24 July, this instalment shines a powerful spotlight on four of Australia’s most exciting Indigenous artists: DOBBY, Loren Ryan, DEM MOB, and Rox Lavi.
Known for championing rising talent in intimate settings, Ones To Watch has built a reputation for discovering future stars like Dua Lipa and Olivia Rodrigo. In Australia, it has already platformed acts such as Forest Claudette, Carla Wehbe, and Teenage Joans.

This Byron Bay edition celebrates cultural excellence and innovation. Headliner DOBBY, a Filipino/Murrawarri rapper, producer, and composer, brings his critically acclaimed storytelling to the stage fresh off his 2024 album Warrangu: River Story. Rising country star Loren Ryan, winner of the 2023 Toyota Star Maker award, will showcase her unique blend of heartfelt songwriting and cultural heritage. From the APY Lands, DEM MOB will deliver their trailblazing Pitjantjatjara-language hip hop, while Ipswich’s Rox Lavi brings a genre-bending mix of rap, indie, and alt-rock influences.
Returning as host is Gen Z music media voice Tait McGregor, adding her infectious energy to the event.
