Lloyd & The Leftovers Announce Debut Album With Heartfelt Single ‘Spin The Wheel’
Walyalup/Western Australia indie-folk outfit Lloyd & The Leftovers have shared their evocative new single ‘Spin The Wheel’, the title track from their anticipated debut album, set for release on August 8.
Blending Americana warmth with an unmistakably Australian edge, the five-piece deliver a tender ballad that explores themes of love, longing, and the transient nature of life on the road. Frontman Luke Giglia-Smith’s emotive vocals carry the weight of distance and yearning, offering listeners a raw and heartfelt confession wrapped in rich layers of guitar, harmonica, and understated percussion.

“I want the song to give a sense of longing for someone and weighing up feelings for someone who lives that same life of working on the road, always being far away from home and out of service, counting the days until you can get back and lift all the weight of these feelings off your chest.” – Luke Giglia-Smith.
Accompanying the release is a cinematic music video that follows a fish and chip shop worker lost in a vivid daydream romance. As dull, grey tones give way to sun-soaked visions of love, arguments, and tender reconciliations, the clip perfectly mirrors the song’s bittersweet reflections.
Following their acclaimed festival appearances at In The Pines RTRFM and Fremantle Winter Festival, Lloyd & The Leftovers are set to bring their dynamic sound to a broader audience. With 11 tracks written over two years, ‘Spin The Wheel’ promises to be a soulful, season-spanning debut capturing life’s complexities in a uniquely Australian voice.
‘Spin The Wheel’ is streaming now. The full album arrives August 8.
