Luca Brasi Shows Us How to Make Tasty Gravy in Like A Version
To help get you to the weekend triple j have treated us with another Like A Version hit! Tasmanian bound punk band Luca Brasi took over this morning teaching us a new weekend tip by covering Paul Kely’s How to Make Gravy.
The guys took on a melodic rocking interpretation of Paul Kelly’s How to Make Gravy with the quartet giving the song even more of a hauntingly romantic sound than ever before. With slow rhythmic guitar riffs to start off it isn’t long before the guys jump straight into a more energetic beat that really puts you in the mood for gravy and maybe a side of mashed potatoes?
Tyler Richardson and Patrick Marshall take on the lead vocals with their raspy voices taking the song’s charm and giving it a more punk sound. Mixed together with Danny Flood’s peppy deep drumming and Thomas Busby’s and Marshall’s chimey guitar riffs, the song is taken from soft acoustic into a revitalising punk rock track.
Watch the video below and let us know what you think, or (more importantly) give us your tips on how you make your own gravy!
