Mainland Break’s Top 5 Memories From Their 2024 Australian Tour

Denver-based indie rock band Mainland Break have returned with their first instance of new music for 2025; a double A-side encasing tracks ‘I Give In’ and ‘Endlessly’. Long-time fans of the Australian indie music scene, Mainland Break take great inspiration and influence from an array of Aussie acts, and their personal brand of gritty yet melancholic indie rock has drawn comparisons to the likes of Floodlights, Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever and RVG. After having made their debut trip down under in 2024 for their One Way Ticket To Midnight tour, MB look back now on their time here, sharing their top 5 memories from the tour.

The Hot Wing Challenge at Mumbo Jumbo’s Beachhouse – Participating in the hot wing challenge prior to performing at Mumbo Jumbo’s was truly a legendary event for Mainland Break. Travis got his picture hung up on The Wall of Flame!

The Food – From sausages at Bunnings to phenomenal pub meals, we still talk about our culinary tour of Australia. Thank you to Barwon Club, Tanswells Hotel, Finnian’s Tavern, and so many more!

Beechworth + Ned Kelly – We really enjoyed learning more about Ned Kelly and Beechworth’s history. After the tour, we watched Mick Jagger play Ned Kelly in the 1970 film.

The Fauna – We were extremely fortunate to see some Australian wildlife out and about, and got to meet some kangaroos in captivity.

The Giant Prawn – A good road trip (1,858 km) wouldn’t be complete without some legendary roadside attractions. The Giant Prawn was our favorite, and we found the sausages from the adjacent Bunnings to be quite complementary to the experience.
