Maroochy Music And Visual Arts Festival Is Back For Round Two!

The Sunshine Coast’s newcomer festival and all-round good time Maroochy Music and Visual Arts Festival is coming back for round two this September!

Saturday, September 10 will see an as yet unannounced lineup and a few thousand partygoers descend on the Horton Park Golf Course for another day of tunes and art.

Last year’s inaugural festival saw Flight Facilities, Alpine, DZ Deathrays, Gang of Youths, and Hermitude (as well as a heap of others) entertain thousands of Sunny Coast revellers on the greens. Paired with cash bars, couches in the amphitheatre, and the promise of no clashes in the schedule, it certainly got South East Queensland music lovers pumped!

Putting the VA into MMVAF this year is Amanda Parer, whose installation piece will be unveiled on the day. Part of her “Fantastic Planet” series of giant inflatable figures, the piece was commissioned especially for the festival. Not only that, but a collection of the best local artists the Sunny Coast has to offer will be showing off their works.
