Mayzie Takes Us On A Fluffy Cloud Ride With Her New Offering, ‘Socialite’

Dream-pop sensation, Mayzie has today revealed her brand new single, Socialite. To celebrate the release, Mayzie will be performing a special show at The Retreat Hotel in Brusnwick tonight!

Socialite is a smooth and flowing track that sits perfectly like a hazy winters day, fluttering melodies, dreamy guitar work and a gentle vocal delivery all stack up to give you quite a lovely journey into the indie-pop world of Mayzie.

The track lyrically touches on the notion of mourning your youth while you’re still living it and gives you the fuzzies knowing that nothing ends, it just changes.

“Socialite is a letter to young Mayzie. I wrote the song after I came across a photo of myself aged about 21. I vividly remember the day it was taken, feeling super fatigued from life and a bit defeated. I felt so stuck, like all these things that I thought were going to happen hadn’t and maybe it was too late. Looking back on it, that sounds so ridiculous because the whole world was at my feet. Socialite is a letter to that version of myself, that says “hey, girl, it’s going to be fine. Nothing, not a single thing is going to go the way you plan, but it’s all going to work out pretty ok anyway.” – Mayzie.
