Melbourne Electronic Artist re:abel Unveils Dynamic New Single, ‘Flying Colours’
Melbourne-based electronic producer re:abel, known offstage as Ryan Gasparini, is back with a fresh track, Flying Colours, marking the first preview of his upcoming EP. Following the acclaim he received for his January EP, Otherside, re:abel continues to refine his Future and UK Garage sound, drawing comparisons to trailblazers like Jacques Greene, Overmono, and NOTION.
Flying Colours showcases re:abel’s evolving skill in atmospheric production and dynamic sound design. This single takes listeners on an immersive journey, with layers of synths, drums, and arpeggios building into a crescendo before releasing into a pulsating bassline, only to rise again.

“With ‘Flying Colours’, I wanted to create a track where the build and release really felt like something was really being created and then destroyed – with the synths, arpeggios and drums all building and working together before crumbling down and giving way to a deep, rumbling bassline, then building itself back up once again. Building further upon the atmospheric nature of my past releases, but taking it in a more functional direction, I wanted to push myself to create a track that paid homage to all my biggest influences while also feeling fresh and new in itself.” – re:abel
Re:abel’s approach has resonated strongly with global music fans, earning him a reputation as an innovative figure in the electronic scene. With a new EP on the horizon, Flying Colours promises an exciting glimpse into re:abel’s refined and functional soundscapes.
