Melbourne’s Accessible Festival Groove Tunes Returns in 2025 with Huge Lineup

Groove Tunes, Melbourne’s pioneering accessible music festival, has officially announced its return for 2025 with a stacked lineup and a continued mission to make live music inclusive for all. Taking place at The Corner Hotel on Friday, 29 November, Groove Tunes 2025 will feature performances from Dean Brady, Velvet Bloom, Dani Enli, and Bel Kil.

The festival is the brainchild of Dina Bassile, founder of Tibi Access and a leading advocate for accessibility in the Australian music industry. As a wheelchair user herself, Bassile has experienced firsthand the barriers that prevent many fans from fully engaging in live music. Groove Tunes was created to challenge that status quo, embedding accessibility into every part of the event.

Bassile’s work has already reshaped accessibility in Australia’s music scene — from leading accessibility initiatives for Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour (Australian leg), to introducing Auslan interpreters at St Kilda Festival for the first time in its 43-year history, and even designing an accessible stage at BIGSOUND. Her impact has been recognised with numerous awards and accolades.

“When I first created Groove Tunes, I wanted to prove that accessibility and live music don’t just coexist, they amplify each other. Four years on, it’s incredible to see how this festival has grown into a community that celebrates music, connection and inclusion. Groove Tunes is living proof that when everyone can be part of the experience, the energy in the room is unlike anything else”

Groove Tunes 2025 offers a wide range of accessibility features, including companion ticketing, Auslan interpretation and lyric videos, sensory quiet spaces, haptic vests, and dedicated patron support services. These initiatives ensure the festival is as inclusive as it is electrifying.

With tickets on sale now, Groove Tunes 2025 is set to be one of Melbourne’s most inspiring and inclusive live music events of the year.
