Melbourne’s Harbours Far From Fading In Hard New Single “Flicker & Fade”
After constant touring and almost a year of studio silence, Melbourne rockers Harbours are back and bigger than ever with an almighty new single Flicker and Fade.
Following the release of their debut EP ‘Nothing Stays The Same’ early this year, Harbours have been on the steam train of progress, supporting international acts Mayday Parade and The Early November on their latest Australian tour, as well as venturing out on their first nationwide headline tour.
Their latest effort, Flicker and Fade, is a new direction for the 5-piece. Transitioning from a hard-punk sound to a heavier grunge-infused vibe, the single is chock-a-block with soaring vocals, a silky guitar solo, and a big-ass breakdown.
From first strum, Flicker and Fade throws you hard into the deep end. Whether it’s the smack in the face of the distorted guitar or the powerhouse vocals of Tory Robertson that gets you, the rockin’ gem of a track is a step in a promising direction for the talented band.
Priding themselves on being self-sufficient in all aspects of their musical endeavours, Flicker and Fade was recorded by guitarist Sam Bassal, while second guitarist Thomas Elliott was responsible for the song’s music video. The result is glistening footage showing the Melbourne lads in their element, and the haunting colours in combination with the piercing tune is sure to be etched in your mind for a few days.
Harbours will be playing their last show for the year at Invasion Fest, before hitting the road in January with English lads Moose Blood on their Aussie tour. Check out all tour dates and the new single Flicker and Fade below!
