MGMT Have Returned!

MGMT are back! The band have released a new video for their track Little Dark Age which is the first single, and the title, of the forthcoming fourth studio album.

The video fits the songs lyrics, which certainly sets with the songs title. Directed by David MacNutt and Nathaniel Axe lLittle Dark Age sees Van Wyngarden and Ben Goldwasser dressed in gothic attire, magicians performing card tricks, fencers and even death itself appears to star in the video smoking a vape—he must of heard the benefits over vapes and smoking cigarettes.

The mid-tempo synth-driven track is the first we have heard from the band in that style since their self titled album in 2013. The duo have returned to producers Patrick Wimberly (Chairlift, Kelela) and Dave Fridmann who produced their breakthrough first album, ‘Oracular Spectacular’.

The pair had a chat with Zane lowe and stated, “We felt like we had reached a flow, it was the sort of chemistry, the kind of magic feeling we had when we started the band.”

The new, yet-at-untitled album is set to release in early 2018.
