Middle Kids Are Out To Earn “Your Love” With Fresh Single

Following the success of their leading single Edge Of Town, Middle Kids are back with Your Love and it’s answered all our alt-rock prayers. The Sydney trio have lifted the second track off their forthcoming debut EP, due out in October.

Filled with peaceful, floating melodies, Your Love will leave you pining for a love you didn’t even know existed. It begins with a soft combination of guitar and drums before vocalist Hannah Joy glides in, filling the track with her vintage, echoing vocals. The combination of slow building instruments and the emotional lyrics, “Sometimes I want to give up on it all but then I feel your love” creates something truly whimsical.

After recording, producing, and mixing the record independently, vocalist Hannah Joy said they wanted to create a really organic sound on the new single. “It was important to us that the song felt raw, that the wood and metal and physical dimensions of the rooms and instruments could be experienced”, and boy did they do just that!

Lucky for us, we can catch Middle Kids supporting City Calm Down on their national tour in September, and playing a few sneaky headlining shows in between!
