Miramar Drop Electro-Punk Anthem ‘Hit the Town’ Ahead of New EP ‘Best Of A Thing’

Sydney/Eora electro outfit Miramar have unleashed their gritty new single ‘Hit the Town’, a pulsing, high-energy collaboration with local duo Barely Passable. The track lands ahead of the trio’s upcoming second EP, Best Of A Thing, set for release on Friday 11 July.

Built on distorted synths, charged vocals, and a defiant spirit, ‘Hit the Town’ dives into the darker corners of Miramar’s sonic world. Blending elements of electro-punk, French touch, and indie dance, the track channels the raw electricity of late-night pub gigs with influences nodding to Justice, Gesaffelstein, and The Prodigy.

At its heart, the track is a rally cry, a bold protest against the erosion of Australia’s grassroots live music culture. “It’s basically a protest song about the death of the live music scene in this country, particularly the grassroots scene which is something we’re super passionate about.” It speaks to Miramar’s deep connection to community, something they’ve nurtured through their Club Miramar event series. Now in its third year, the self-curated platform has become a staple in Sydney’s underground scene.

With past support slots alongside Groove Armada, Mickey Kojack, and Northeast Party House, plus praise from the nations biggest tastemakers, Miramar are fast becoming one of Australia’s most vital electronic acts.

Listen to ‘Hit the Town’ now, and mark your calendars for Best Of A Thing this July.
