Miss Kaninna Returns With Up Beat Single, ‘Push Up’

Naarm/Melbourne and proud Yorta Yorta, Dja Dja Wurrung, Kalkadoon, and Yirendali artist, Miss Kaninna has just released her first single of 2024, Push Up. Known for her bold and commanding presence, Miss Kaninna celebrates the freedom of sexuality with this new track, perfect for the dance floor. Push Up is a dreamy pop/R&B song with buttery synths and 808 cowbell, inspired by her move from Tasmania to Melbourne and her love for Afrobeats and Amapiano music.

Miss Kaninna’s singing voice shines in Push Up, a fun and fluid song about embracing one’s true self. Produced by Jacob Farah, the track captures the feeling of meeting someone new on a hot summer night. With her previous singles Blak Britney and Pinnacle Bitch amassing 1.5 million streams and features on Netflix’s Heartbreak High, Miss Kaninna is making waves in the music scene.

Catch her live at Listen Out, Spin Off Festival, Wonder Mountain, and supporting Hiatus Kaiyote. With her debut EP on the horizon, Miss Kaninna is set to redefine “Black pop” and bring her powerful voice to a wider audience.
