Miss Lucy Return with Dreamy New Single ‘Chapter On Dancing’

Brisbane indie duo Miss Lucy are back with their captivating new single, Chapter On Dancing. Known for their smooth synth-pop sound, the pair are embarking on a fresh chapter in their music journey, shifting away from the slick, synth-driven grooves of their 2023 Contactless EP to a more reflective and airy style.

Chapter On Dancing is a soothing, dreamlike track that blends nostalgic rhythms with modern pop-rock energy. The song carries warm melodies, ethereal harmonies, and a vocal performance that floats effortlessly, inviting listeners to unwind and drift off into the clouds.

The inspiration for the single came from the 2020 Danish film Another Round. This inspired songwriter Condon to reflect on the carefree moments shared with his partner, encapsulating that joy in the song’s lyrics.

“It had this really beautiful scene where the main character dances shamelessly in front of a high school graduation and it really made me think about the times that I had danced shamelessly in public with my partner, to which I believe life is all about sometimes and so, this song is about the chapter in everyone’s life where you have found someone you can silly dance with.” – Blair Condon, Miss Lucy.

Recorded at Brisbane Recording Studio and self-produced by the duo for the first time, Chapter On Dancing showcases their growth and newfound confidence in the studio. With its delicate yet uplifting sound, the track marks an exciting new era for Miss Lucy as they continue to explore new sonic landscapes.
