Monkey Suits, Lockouts, & Hidden Raves Dominate Slumberhaze’s “Neon Demon” Video

Slumberhaze edit

Indietronica quintet Slumberhaze have released their awesome music video for their latest single Neon Demon, which follows a monkey exploring the nightlife in Sydney.

Neon Demon, the lead single of their ‘Rhyme, Rhythm and Romance’ EP, will have you hooked by the cascading piano melody, upbeat vibe, and it’s catchy warm and cuddly chorus.

The video launches into an illuminated nightlife scene after sundown where revellers would go to connect. Set in Sydney and centred on a monkey called ‘Hazey’, he sets out on his journey to enjoy the city’s nightlife and like most people, his night does not go to plan.

From getting some happy snaps with fellow Sydney partygoers to then copping some rejection from security guards and some heavy hostility.

What looks to be the future of Queensland’s own nightlife, Hazey finds himself wandering the streets of Sydney due to the closure of his beloved venues and bars, which leaves you feeling super empathetic for the poor (monkey) guy.

Lucky for Hazey, he then stumbles into a room full of smoke machines, which is full of other happy-go-lucky monkey peeps and dances the night away.

Does the monkey make sense? No. But it’s a super creative music video that somehow lets you connect to Hazey the monkey on his quest for an enjoyable night.

If you love dressing up as an animal or just need a cool band to check out, Slumberhaze wil be hitting up plenty of venues on the east coast, all dates below!
