MRCY Unveil Powerful New Single ‘Man’ Ahead of Upcoming Project ‘VOLUME 2’

London-based duo MRCY are making waves once again with their latest single, Man, a bold and introspective take on modern masculinity. The track arrives ahead of their highly anticipated sophomore project, VOLUME 2, set for release on May 30.

Blending afrobeat rhythms, jazz-infused production, and soul-driven vocals, Man delivers both an infectious groove and a compelling message. Frontman Kojo Degraft-Johnson explores the struggles of balancing strength and vulnerability, reflecting on the pressures men face while advocating for a redefinition of masculinity rooted in love and integrity.

The lyrics ‘Move out the dark and lead with light / Fight for the love a thousand times’ really encapsulate what we wanted to say. Change is a collective effort, and we need to come together to redefine what it means to be a man.’ – Barney Lister, MRCY.

Accompanying the single is a stunning performance video directed by Béni Masiala, further amplifying the song’s emotional weight. With VOLUME 2, MRCY expand on the chemistry that made their debut VOLUME 1 a breakthrough, refining their signature sound while pushing into deeper themes of self-discovery and resilience.

The duo will celebrate the release with a headline show at Islington Assembly Hall on May 29, following a streak of sold-out performances. As their star continues to rise, MRCY’s fearless artistry is proving impossible to ignore.
