Munan Blends Jungle, DnB and Gaming Nostalgia on New Single ‘Jeju Organic Green Tea’

South Korean-Australian artist Munan has unveiled his latest single ‘Jeju Organic Green Tea’, a genre-blurring track that gives fans a final taste of his upcoming EP, Everything in Between, set for release on May 28.

Known for his genre-bending style and cinematic production, Munan delivers a refreshing mix of Jungle, Drum & Bass, Rock, and jazz-infused elements on ‘Jeju Organic Green Tea’. The high-energy track takes clear inspiration from the golden age of 1990s–2000s video game soundtracks, tapping into a sense of nostalgia while keeping things rhythmically sharp and forward-thinking.

The title was sparked by a simple moment in Korea—spotting a tea bag labeled “Jeju Organic Green Tea”—which led Munan to reflect on the contradiction of mass-produced “organic” products and the deeper meaning we attach to natural things. That blend of irony and introspection is mirrored in the music, which is as emotionally rich as it is sonically adventurous.

“The song’s title came from a tea bag I found labeled Jeju Organic Green Tea in Korea. It made me wonder how something packaged in bulk could be considered organic. This sparked a thought about how anything found in nature can have its own special meaning. As a gamer, I was always drawn to the Jungle and DnB sounds that shaped gaming culture back then. I worked with some friends on the bass and drums to make sure we captured that vibe perfectly.” Munan.

Following a strong run of singles including Stoked & Stoned and Fake Love Friday Night, Munan continues to carve a distinctive space in the indie-electronic landscape. Jeju Organic Green Tea is available now everywhere and gear up for Everything in Between this month.
