This September, the worlds of music and fashion converge in a mesmerising eight-part BBC podcast hosted by none other than supermodel and longtime David Bowie confidante, Kate Moss. Titled Music Uncovered, David Bowie: Changeling, the series promises a compelling deep dive into one of rock and roll’s most transformative artists and the pivotal half-decade that shaped his enduring legacy.

The podcast chronicles David Bowie’s most pivotal era—from the release of The Man Who Sold the World and the emergence of Ziggy Stardust, through the glam-rock theatrics, persona retirements, and the development of the Thin White Duke. This five-year span showcases Bowie’s constant reinvention.

Each concise episode will spotlight key moments of Bowie’s artistic evolution.

The series will launch on BBC Sounds at 6 a.m. (UK time) on Wednesday, 10 September 2025. It will then broadcast on BBC Radio 6 Music from Monday, 22 September (12–2 a.m.)

A rich roster of contributors joins the narrative—from new interviews with Boy George, Chrissie Hynde, Dave Gahan, Edward Enninful, Elton John, Goldie, Iggy Pop, Harris Reed, Robbie Williams, and Twiggy to archival insights featuring Lady Gaga, Sinéad O’Connor, Lou Reed, Tracey Emin, and a 2001 interview with producer Des Shaw

The podcast coincides with the launch of the David Bowie Centre at V&A East Storehouse, a new archive and exhibition space dedicated to preserving and celebrating Bowie’s multifaceted creative legacy.

In Her Own Words

Reflecting on the project, Kate Moss shares:

“David Bowie was a very special person. Someone who was much more than a friend – he was an enigma. So, when the chance came to dive into this extraordinary five-year chapter of Bowie’s life for 6 Music and BBC Sounds… I was excited to help share the story of such an incredible transformation. This podcast is a real celebration of my friend, a true British icon.”
