My Chemical Romance Rumoured To Be Reuniting

My Chemical Romance

Emo hearts are a-flutter this morning, waking up to see a new video posted by My Chemical Romance. The 34 second video features a white background with a cross emblem flag fluttering across it. The piano intro to the band’s breakout single Welcome To The Black Parade can be heard, before the date 23rd September 2016 flashes on screen.

After forming in 2001, My Chem first gained widespread success with their 2006 album ‘Welcome To The Black Parade’. This album spawned a selection of hit singles for the band, including Welcome To The Black Parade and Teenagers. Released on 23rd October 2006, the rumour mills are running wild today, believing the video to be a teaser for a soon-to-be-announced ten year anniversary tour for the band. If this is true, it will be the first activity from the boys from New Jersey since announcing their hiatus in 2013.

Tumblr is also going into meltdown, as a variety of fans are re-emerging, once again pulled into the emo rabbit hole due to the band’s mysterious antics.

We just have one question though. Could this video signal a return for the once kings of emo, and if so, will they be coming to Aus? We can only hope so.
