The Nation Blue Are Back And They’ve Gone “Wild”
Punk rockers The Nation Blue are back for the first time since 2009 with a whole lot of news! Not only have they released a cool and creepy new video for their single Wild but they’ve also announced a double album release and Australian tour!
Originating in Hobart, the 3-piece have been on the Australian scene for nearly 20 years. They’ve taken some time to focus on side projects over the past few years, but they’re back in full form with their track and music video Wild and news of not one but two new albums set to drop in October, ‘Black’ and ‘Blue’.
Wild clocks in at less than two minutes long and wastes no time kicking into gear. The vocals, heavy as a brick, fly through the silence while clean guitar lines pierce through underneath. Resounding percussion keeps the song strong and grounded, beginning and ending on a single section. Short and sweet, it will leave you hanging for more!
As the video takes us through the silhouettes of clusters of pine trees, a figure is seen shoveling dirt before walking towards the edge of the trees. As the figure becomes clearer, it turns out to be frontman Tom Lyngcoln singing into the wilderness.
Towards the end, we see him staring out past the edge of the trees, watching fighter jets fly over him into distant smoke clouds and flashing lights. The end of the world, perhaps?
‘Black’ and ‘Blue’ will be available Friday 14th of October to coincide with a whirlwind Aussie tour. Check out the suspenseful Wild music video and tour dates below!
