Neomantra Unleash New Single, ‘Astral Prison’ and Announce New EP
Australian post/doom-metal band Neomantra is making waves once again with the release of their intense new single, Astral Prison. The new track gives listeners a preview of what to expect from their forthcoming EP, Paranosis, set to drop on September 27.
Comprised of Royce Zanetic on vocals and guitar, Jarod Callow on guitar, Lee Afentopoulos on bass, and Greg Turner on drums, Neomantra is known for their heavy soundscapes that blend philosophical depth with raw power. The band first burst onto the scene in 2021 with their debut EP, Henosis, which quickly caught the attention of notable outlets like Hysteria, Wall Of Sound, and Noise Mag. Last year, they also opened for KARNIVOOL and Tangled Thoughts Of Leaving, further solidifying their presence in the metal scene.

Astral Prison delivers a dark, unyielding sound with heavy guitar riffs, primal screams, and relentless drumming. The track’s haunting, cyclical nature offers listeners a uniquely immersive experience, pulling them into a deep, introspective journey.
Produced and engineered by Chad Blondel at Foxhole Recording Studios and mastered by the renowned Forrester Savell, Paranosis features additional creative input from Drew Goddard of KARNIVOOL. This five-track EP is described as a continuation and conclusion of the themes explored in Henosis.
Neomantra will celebrate the release of Paranosis with a launch show at The Rosemount Hotel in North Perth on October 11, with additional shows to be announced soon.
