Off Judy Return With Emotive Indie Punk Single ‘Lean In’

Rising indie-punk band Off Judy have returned with their compelling new single ‘Lean In’, showcasing a fresh and introspective side of the Bundjalung/Byron Bay-based outfit. Produced and mixed by Alain Decarne (Les Krills, Tropical Zombie), the track is a melodic detour from the band’s usual high-octane punk grooves, blending elements of folk, indie rock, and poetic punk.

Opening with bright guitar tones and steady drum rhythms, ‘Lean In’ highlights frontman Finn Mcildowie’s raw and emotionally resonant vocals. The track channels the mood of late-night conversations, wrapped in sun-drenched riffs and pub-soaked storytelling. Drawing inspiration from local icons like The Pretty Littles and Pist Idiots, Off Judy captures the spirit of Australian pub culture while delivering a powerful message of acceptance and self-reflection.

“This song is about embracing where you’re at, letting go of the past and accepting that you never really know what’s going on or what to do next – so just lean into it.”Off Judy.

Known for their explosive live shows, Off Judy have toured across Europe, the UK, and New Zealand, and shared stages with Skegss, Wolfmother, The Smith Street Band, and more. ‘Lean In’ is now streaming on all major platforms.
