Old Mervs Drop New Single ‘Forget It’ and Announce First UK Tour
Western Australia’s rising indie-rock duo, Old Mervs, have just unleashed their latest anthemic single, Forget It, along with a captivating music video. The track blends catchy hooks and upbeat rhythms with a nostalgic nod to the early 2010s UK indie scene. Produced by the acclaimed Chris Collins (known for his work with Matt Corby, Alex Lahey, and Royel Otis), Forget It showcases the duo’s evolving sound with bright guitar riffs, synth tones, and their signature sing-along style that fans have grown to love.
Comprising David House (guitar and lead vocals) and Henry Carrington-Jones (drums, backing vocals), Old Mervs are on their biggest tour yet, cheekily named the How The Fark Are Ya? Tour. Kicking off in New Zealand with sold-out shows, the tour is now hitting major cities across Australia, including a massive hometown gig at Fremantle Arts Centre.

“Forget It was a real treat to record and write. Love the groove of the song, it’s definitely a new groove for us and we love the difference in it. Most importantly we hope the people love it. It’s upbeat but has a bit of spirit towards the second half of the song and I love how it’s got both those elements in the one.” – Henry, Old Mervs.
“Forget It is probably the kind of song I’ve always wanted to write. It pretty much encapsulates the style of music that I listened to as a teenager when I started finding more and more guitar songs that I really started to like. There are production elements that are new for us in the track, one being the synth tones throughout the whole song. They are a highlight for me and really make the song what it is.” – David, Old Mervs.
In addition to their Australian shows, the duo has just announced their first-ever UK tour, set for November. With a dedicated fanbase, millions of streams, and an electrifying live presence, Old Mervs are quickly becoming one of Australia’s most exciting rock acts to watch.
