Osaka Punch Throwing Fists With Fresh Track ‘Stonk’
Brisbane-based brutal pop-rock outfit Osaka Punch have dropped an impressive new track Stonk along with a massive East Coast tour.
The new single comes with an upbeat and expansive change to Osaka Punch’s normally darker sound, but still retains their tongue-in-cheek attitude and heavy riffs.
A wise man once wrote of them, “You can’t call (Osaka Punch) a ‘warm-up’ band… They’re more of a ‘set fire to the stage & hope the next act can still use it’ band.”
The growing hype surrounding Osaka Punch is based solely on their virtuosic high-energy live performance, showcasing the group’s ability to straddle any genre from authentic old-school funk to extreme modern metal.
Frontman Jack Muzak is super excited about the just announced tour, saying, “We haven’t had a lot of chances to spread our wings into the different spots around Australia yet.
“This is going to be a great chance to take some new stages and surprise the shit out of audiences,” said Muzak.
The new heavy groove single will feature on the band’s upcoming album due for release in September.
