Otosan Recruit DOOLIE For The Dance Floor Treat, ‘When You Go’

Dance floor favourites, Otosan have teamed up with alt-pop sensation, DOOLIE to create the absolute heater of a tune, When You Go.

When You Go has all the elements you look for in a big time house track, some thick bass lines, massive deep kicks and a vocal topline to die for. It seems the match up of DOOLIE and Otosan was only a matter of time with both parties wanting to work with each other from day dot.

Otosan explain, “We had been wanting to work on a track with DOOLIE for quite some time now as we knew our sounds would complement each other really well. Finally our schedules and locations lined up to get a day in the studio together so we jumped at the chance. For our originals we have always tried to find a balance between solid dance production and great vocal hooks and shorter song structures to give the tracks more longevity for listeners beyond just the dancefloor. This one came together very quickly, with the chords laid down only a couple of days before the session with DOOLIE, and all vocals written and recorded with her in half a day. Fast forward a few rounds of production, mixing and mastering with a few of our favourite collaborators and we absolutely love the final result.”

DOOLIE adds, “To me this song is about realising how much you’ve grown to rely on a person for your happiness and love. When writing the lyrics we really wanted the track to emulate the emotions of initial fear, and then disappointment within yourself when you make that realisation. Working with the guys, we were able to pinpoint that through the production, and have it take you through those intense waves of emotion.”

When You Go is sure to get your heart pumping and the weekend vibes rolling the instant you press play. It’s available now, everywhere.
