Pacific Avenue Reveal ‘Flowers’ Deluxe Edition Alongside Intimate Documentary

Australian rock darlings Pacific Avenue have just unveiled the Deluxe Edition of their ARIA–Nominated debut album ‘Flowers‘, alongside an accompanying documentary ‘SUPERBLOOM: The Making of Pacific Avenue’s Flowers‘. The Deluxe Edition of ‘Flowers’ adds five dynamic tracks, including the vivacious ‘California Blues‘, the slow-burning ‘Starman‘, and the piano ballad ‘Waking Up The Neighbourhood‘.

‘SUPERBLOOM’ reveals the inception, artistic ingenuity, and collaborative synergy that culminated in Pacific Avenue’s debut album. Featuring recording sessions and candid interviews with the band members, the documentary provides a behind-the-scenes look at the journey leading up to the record’s release. Delving into the genesis of signature tracks like ‘Wake Me Up‘ and ‘Lay Me Down‘, alongside the creative process behind the album art, ‘The Making of Flowers’ provides an intimate look into the artistic evolution of Pacific Avenue.

Pacific Avenue talks about the inspiration behind the release:

“The reason we wanted to bring out this deluxe version of the album, is to share a more behind the scenes look of how the whole record began. Each of these new songs that make up the deluxe edition of ‘Flowers’  were written before any of the songs on the record, and inspired the direction of sound we wanted to follow. Through the process of creating this record with BMG, we were very lucky to have been able to capture a lot of behind the scenes from recording in studio, to shooting our album cover, to now being able to play the songs live. This documentary and Deluxe Album is something we’re so proud to have made and I feel very lucky to have been a part of.”

The band recently performed at all four Spilt Milk dates alongside Post Malone and Dom Dolla and are currently in the midst of their first regional ‘Country Town Hoe Down‘ tour before closing out the year at the Great Escape Festival in Lutruwita/Tasmania. This comes off the back of shows across the UK and a national Australian ‘Flowers’ tour that saw them sell out most shows, including two at Eora/Sydney’s Metro Theatre.
