Parcels Release New Album ‘LOVED’ Featuring Latest Single ‘Sorry’

Australian indie-pop heroes Parcels have returned today with the release of their highly anticipated new studio album LOVED, out now via Because Music, alongside their brand-new single, Sorry.

Sorry marks the fifth single from LOVED, following fan favourites Leaveyourlove, Safeandsound, Yougotmefeeling, and Summerinlove. Written between Berlin and Byron Bay, the track blends nylon guitar textures with subtle nods to Rihanna’s “Te Amo.” Speaking on the single, Parcels explained, “Sorry began in Berlin and also went through many different studios and recording processes. It has some Rihanna inspiration, Te Amo, and the nylon guitars felt right to throw it into another world. Again, I wanted the lyrics to be a bit ambiguous. On one hand it’s an earnest apology, it hurts to be loved and that’s hard. It’s an apology to a specific person but also to everyone in general. Extending a hand. At the same time it feels insincere in some moments, a little sarcastic. It has a colder side to it I think.”

LOVED sees Parcels craft an album of unity, reflection, and celebration, offering euphoric highs alongside deeply personal moments. Recorded across Berlin, Sydney, Byron Bay, Oaxaca, and Mexico City, the record represents a new chapter for the band following their six-month hiatus in 2023.

The release coincides with Parcels’ biggest world tour to date, which will include their first-ever US arena headline shows, with stops at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, New York’s Forest Hills Stadium, and the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre. The band will also return home for a sold-out run of Australian shows this November and December.

Listen to LOVED and stream Sorry now.
