Parcels Unveil Collaborative New EP ‘Leaveyourlove’

Beloved Australian indie-pop band Parcels has entered new creative territory with the release of their Leaveyourlove EP. This marks the first time the band has worked with featured artists, delivering a dynamic reimagining of their fan-favourite track Leaveyourlove. The EP showcases an array of global talent and musical styles, making it a standout addition to the band’s acclaimed discography.

The idea for the ‘Leaveyourlove’ EP came early. The song was a simple and fun expression of love from different angles, Pat, Jules and Noah each traded verses. We enjoyed this sweet collaborative feeling, it felt right with the song, so we quickly had the idea to open it up to people outside of the band too! We imagined friends and artists we liked from around the world jumping in and writing their own expressions of love into the song. In different languages, in different styles. It would be the first time we ever collaborated with feature artists, so it felt good to open that up to a group of great artists from around the world, something that felt larger and deeper than the song itself.

Some of the artists were already friends, some were connections made online from many miles away. Some of the sessions were had together recrafting the song in the studio, some from a distance, sharing files and ideas. Some will never see the light of day.” – Parcels.

The Leaveyourlove EP features collaborations with artists like King Stingray, who lend their signature Yolŋu Matha language to the track, and Ximena Sariñana alongside Rawayana, who infuse it with a vibrant Latin energy. Other contributors include Berlin house legends Robert Owens and Tobi Neumann, indie-folk artist MARO, and Taiwanese acts Cosmos People and HaoTing from Sunset Rollercoaster, whose Mandarin verses offer a fresh cultural dimension.

The EP comes on the heels of Parcels’ extensive world tour, which included sold-out performances at Red Rocks Amphitheatre and appearances at festivals like Bonnaroo. With over a billion streams and a double-platinum debut album to their name, Parcels are gearing up for their next big move: a highly anticipated third studio album.
