Parkway Drive Announce Russel Coight Themed ‘All Aussie Adventure’ Tour

Metalcore outfit Parkway Drive have announced their return to the live circuit with an ‘All Aussie Adventure’ national tour, for which the hilarious name was picked by their fans in a competition.

The Russel Coight-themed national tour triumphed over other funny suggestions like ‘Toury McTourface’, “plus we all love Russel Coight, so that gave the entry the winning edge,” said frontman Winston McCall.

The Byron Bay Metal act now have five highly acclaimed albums under their belt, including an ARIA award for Best Hard Rock/Heavy Metal Album for their 2010 release ‘Deep Blue’.

Their latest album ‘Ire’ delivered a new sound, for which McCall said “the riff style for our band just wouldn’t cut it anymore.We had to make sure a riff counted when we wrote it, we had to make sure the breakdowns counted, and the major thing was realising a melody”.

The ‘All Aussie Adventure’ tour kicks off in June and makes its way from far north Queensland, down through New South Wales, and wraps up in Victoria in July.
