Plini and INTERVALS Announce Prog-Tastic Aus Tour
Sydney’s favourite bedroom prog-wizard Plini is heading on a huge national tour with Canadian guitarist INTERVALS in September! The “Electric Sunrise” Australian Tour follows sold-out headline shows in Sydney, Melbourne, and North America earlier this year, with European tour dates still on the horizon.
The tour will see Plini perform songs from his forthcoming album with his live band including singles Selenium Forest and The End of Everything. It will also mark INTERVALS’ Australian performance debut after his 2015 release ‘The Shape of Colour’ left fans wanting more. Having already toured with Plini earlier this year, INTERVALS’ Aaron Marshall says he’s keen to play with the prog-rocker again.
“I’m beyond excited to finally visit and perform in Australia. Plini and I had the best time touring North America together this year and it’s going to be really fun to bring that back home for him,” Marshall said.
The super-cool line up will also feature Sydney metal-core 5-piece Polaris on all East Coast dates, prog-metal band Dyssidia in Adelaide, and cinematic post-rock duo Absent Hearts in Perth.
Aussie show-goers also have the opportunity to buy a ticket to an hour-long masterclass and Q&A session with Plini and Marshall before each show, covering composition and guitar techniques, touring, and building a career as an independent musician.
Plini’s debut album ‘Handmade Cities’ is set for release on Friday 26th of August.
