PREMIERE: Old Fashion Show Us How They Make A Racket In New Video

Brisbane rockers Old Fashion have been riding a wave of hype and excitement after the release of their last single Romeo. The lads have been travelling the state to spread the good word of distorted guitars and catchy melodies and have now returned to give a final tease of their new EP, in the form of a fresh music video for single The Racket. 

Emerging out of the beer stained stages of past bands, Old Fashion is a mix between the rock guitar of Arctic Monkeys and the high octane energy of Kingswood. However, the sound of Old Fashion is not to be pigeon-holed. The Racket is a jumping, indie rock tune with everything from a groovy pre-chorus to a screechin’ guitar solo with a catchy melody to top it all off.

The song’s music video is a humorous look into the banter-filled life of Old Fashion. With mates aplenty and an insight into the preparation and onstage antics of the band’s live show, The Racket’s music video perfectly encompasses the essence of what Old Fashion is about.

With the help of producer Matt Bartlem (Dead Letter Circus, The Getaway Plan & Matt Corby), the Brisbane locals have moved from the hard rock vibes of previous works to a more distorted indie rock sound that seems to suit the band a whole lot better. The band’s mantra of playing shows anywhere at anytime has seen Old Fashion’s live performance quickly become a mini-spectacle, combining thrashing chorus’ and guitar solo’s with friendly vibes and tasty wines – an all around live music dream.

While Old Fashion are keeping it quiet gig wise until the release of their new EP ‘What Were We Thinking’ in the coming months, The Racket will be celebrated with a one off headlining show in late November as Old Fashion gear up to take the nation by storm!
