Premiere: Soup On Tap Share New Single Peach Tree

Melbourne indie band Soup On Tap are giving fans the very first listen to their brand-new single Peach Tree, premiering today exclusively on AAA Backstage ahead of its official release tomorrow.

The track marks an exciting new chapter for the Naarm/Melbourne four-piece, who were formerly known as Middle St. With its blend of introspective lyricism and guitar-driven energy, Peach Tree stands as a sincere coming-of-age anthem about self-honesty, vulnerability, and navigating the anxieties of new relationships.

“The lyrics were written around the idea of starting a new relationship, and the fear and anxieties that come along with that. It’s a story about how the best way to portray yourself is to confront all the internal fear and self-doubt, start at level one, be honest with what you want. At the end of the day, it’s a song about being your best self.”Oscar Dean, Soup On Tap

Recorded at The Grove Studios and produced alongside Jackson Weibe (who also handled mixing), with mastering by Joe Carra at Crystal Mastering, the single captures a warm mix of gritty optimism and melodic charm. The band cite influences including Violent Soho, Twin Peaks, David Bowie, Folk Bitch Trio, and Parcels.

With a growing reputation for electrifying live shows, Soup On Tap are carving their place as one of Melbourne’s most exciting indie outfits. Peach Tree is available tomorrow but you can listen right here exclusively, today!
