PREMIERE: The Stanleys Deliver Nuanced & Epic Power-Pop On ‘Amy’

Today, the Stanleys have given AAA Backstage readers a first listen of their new single, Amy ahead of its release.

Additionally, the duo have also announced the the arrival of their highly anticipated debut, self-titled album to be released on Friday 6 October. If you’ve seen the Stanleys slay a live stage over their long and fruitful career, then you know the energy and ferocity this power-pop group delivers. Now, with new single Amy, and the impeding release of their debut album, the Stanleys are finally ready to usher in a new era of punk prowess thanks to their intricacies and nuanced musical technicalities.

Though power-pop is their tag on SoundCloud, the Stanleys are far more complex than the simple genre keyword gives them. Their riffs are epic—angling a sidewinding math-rock approach akin to Fang Island with a hint of American Football thrown in for good measure.
