Premiere: This Space Is Ours Drop Powerful New Single ‘Help Me’
Melbourne-based punk outfit This Space Is Ours are turning up the volume with their latest single, Help Me, a raw and emotionally charged track that drops tomorrow. Ahead of its official release, we’re stoked to be giving you the first listen of this dynamic new jam.
Blending high-energy emo and pop-punk influences, Help Me delivers an explosive mix of soaring melodies, hard-hitting instrumentals, and deeply personal lyricism. Lead vocalist Gemma penned the song as an introspective look at struggling with emotions and the feeling of losing control.
“I am on the autism spectrum and was late to be diagnosed. In the lyrics for this song, I talk about having meltdowns and fighting with the belief that this is something I brought upon myself. We hope people can relate and find their own meaning for it if there’s something in their life, they feel they can’t control.” – Gemma

Produced by Beau McKee (Earth Caller, Between You & Me), the track solidifies This Space Is Ours as a force in Melbourne’s thriving punk scene. Since their debut in 2021, the five-piece has been making waves with high-energy singles and unforgettable live performances, sharing the stage with Future Static and Drastic Park.
The accompanying music video for Help Me is a visually striking masterpiece that feels like it was destined to come together. As the band brainstormed branding ideas for the single, they kept gravitating toward the colours orange and blue—a vision that, by pure coincidence, aligned perfectly with a concept that director Jackson Bentley had been eager to bring to life. Working closely with Bentley, the band crafted a series of artful, symbolic scenes that mirror the song’s themes of inner turmoil and self-discovery. The result is a cinematic and emotionally charged visual that enhances the impact of the track, making it a must-watch alongside the release.
With big plans for the year ahead, This Space Is Ours are proving they’re just getting started. Help Me is available tomorrow but you can listen right here exclusively today!
