The Pretty Reckless Drop Bluesy “Take Me Down” Music Video

American rockers The Pretty Reckless have released Take Me Down, the lead single from their upcoming third studio album ‘Who You Selling For’ and it’s dripping in smoky Americana goodness! Consistently at the forefront of American rock ‘n’ roll, The Pretty Reckless are set to deliver yet another powerful album come late October.

Take Me Down places frontwoman Taylor Momsen’s powerful voice at the forefront  of the mix while the band cruises through blues and rock ‘n’ roll-fuelled sections. Dirty 60s style guitar and a simple rock beat hold down the groove, giving Momsen and her backup singers room to  explore their vocal limits in a massive bridge refrain, screaming “Side with the devil/Take me down!”.

The song feels like a fun and expressive jam from an experienced group of mates, and this is reflected in the accompanying video. Shot in the studio where the album was produced, the black and white music video reveals a visible chemistry between the band, creating a fly-on-the-wall insight into what the recording sessions might have been like.

The Pretty Reckless formed in 2009 by Gossip Girl star Taylor Momsen, and the band have released two studio albums and two EPs to date. 2014 saw The Pretty Reckless become the second ever female-fronted band to have back-to-back number one singles on the US charts with Heaven Knows and Messed Up Word (F’d Up World).

The Pretty Reckless are set to release their third album ‘Who You Selling For’ on Friday the 21st of October. Check out the video for Take Me Down below!
