Queenie Reveals Fiery New Single, ‘Everything Sucks’

Melbourne-based singer-songwriter Queenie is back with her fiery new single, Everything Sucks, and it’s a raw, relatable anthem for anyone who’s been through a tough breakup. Following her 2024 hits Not Divine and Mama, Queenie dives deep into the emotional turmoil of ending a long-term relationship with this latest release.

Everything Sucks hooks you right from the start, unfolding into a melancholic yet powerful anthem of heartbreak and angst. Queenie wrote the song during lockdown, after parting ways with her partner of ten years. She found herself navigating a world turned upside down by a global pandemic, forced to confront her feelings head-on without the usual distractions or support systems.

Reflecting on the experience, Queenie shared, “Being stuck in a house I couldn’t leave during such uncertain times made the breakup even harder. But it was also a period of intense self-discovery and healing.”

Queenie, the musical alter-ego of Eloise Thetford, has been making waves in the industry with her fearless songwriting and electrifying live performances. She’s played at major festivals like Party In The Paddock, Tamworth Country Music Festival, and Port Fairy Folk Festival. Her debut album, New Moult, is set to release on August 30, promising more of her signature blend of raw emotion and captivating sound.

With a slew of live shows and festival appearances on the horizon, 2024 is shaping up to be Queenie’s biggest year yet. Be sure to catch her live and experience the magic of Everything Sucks for yourself.
